by the Session
April 17,
2006
Geneva's
basic mission
is expressed
in the adopted
statement
that reads, "Seeking
spiritual
growth & serving
Jesus Christ
by: Changing
lives, Making
disciples,
Equipping
believers." That
broad mission
is expressed
in these
various
ways:
- To plan
and prepare
for growth
as an
intentional
commitment;
- To create
meaningful
worship
experiences,
providing
different
times
and styles
of worship;
- To provide
quality
opportunities
that enable
people
of all
ages to
be nurtured
and grow
in their
faith,
but with
special
emphasis
on young
families;
- To provide
outreach
ministries,
including
ministries
of compassion,
to the
present
and growing
communities
in and
around
St. John's
County;
- To
reaffirm
in our
worship,
life and
ministry
the strengths
of our
Reformed
faith;
- To
provide
an atmosphere
of love
and acceptance
where
people
are free
to ask
questions
and express
differing
viewpoints;
- To
live our
faith
through
a commitment
to integrity
in the
world
in which
we live
and work.
