Outreach & Services
St. Francis House
St. Francis House serves an average of 300 meals each day. These free and nutritious meals are often the only meal of the day for the poor and homeless of the area. Daily meals are served seven days a week. In response to the desperate conditions of many farm workers, St. Francis House, with the help of many regular volunteers and generous donations, delivers sandwiches and provisions to the farm workers in Hastings and East Palatka. This program runs between November and May and has provided 93,000 meals annually along with personal hygiene products and clothing. St. Francis House also provides food baskets to families and individuals.

Habitat for Humanity Saint Augustine/St Johns County
Habitat is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry which builds affordable houses for people in need. The goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty, housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by working in partnership with God’s people in need. Habitat is a non-profit organization with human need for shelter as the motive for action. Houses built by Habitat are sold at no profit and no interest added. The income received from the houses sold is used to build simple, adequate, low-cost homes for families, the elderly, and the disabled in need in St. Johns County. Geneva has been involved for many years through our Sunday Flowers program where all money donated goes directly to Habitat, the Apostles Build program where area Churches combine resources to fund and build a home and through individual and group participation on a quarterly basis.

The Blood Alliance
The Blood Alliance is a non-profit community blood bank. Our purpose is to ensure that our community has an ample supply of blood, sufficient to meet the needs of local patients. To fulfill these needs, we currently have ten community donor centers, and nine mobile units designed to support blood drives at businesses, churches, schools, civic groups, military, and community locations. However, we are the sole provider of transfusable blood products to all local hospitals in northeast Florida, and portions of Georgia and South Carolina so we are always in need of donations to keep these hospitals stocked. If we can meet and exceed our own local needs, we are able to share blood with other communities less fortunate.
