Geneva Columbarium and Memorial Garden

A permanent depository of peace, beauty and dignity

The Memorial Garden of Geneva Presbyterian Church offers to all church members and their families a permanent depository of peace, beauty and dignity. The garden provides a needed ministry to our members: a visible witness that our departing is in God’s hands and that deaths are passages into His kingdom.

It is an appropriate marking of the end of a Christian’s earthly life to be buried where the great events of Christian life are celebrated.

Located in a sheltered area behind the Church Sanctuary, the Garden offers Geneva members and their families a dignified, welcoming and comforting place for the interment of ashes of loved ones.

I have called you

by your name

And you are Mine.

Isaiah 43:1

The Garden is under the supervision of a Memorial Garden committee whose names may be obtained at the church office.

Applications are available from the church office. The Memorial Garden committee processes applications for interment in the Garden

Ashes may be placed in a niche in the Columbarium wall or may be scattered in a designated area of the Garden. The fee for the interment includes a tile mounted on the niche wall or a plaque beside the scatter garden. The tile or plaque will be determined by the current costs and is payable the time of application.

All fees and donations to the Memory Garden Fund are maintained in a special account and will be used to maintain the Garden. Gifts may be made at any time. A record of all such memorials will be kept in the church office.

He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. I am the resurrection and the life.

John 11:35
